Hotkey registration w/ Windows 7

I have Colibri installed on Windows 7, works great only for one thing.
When I start Windows 7 the hotkey is registered and I can start
Colibri with ctrl + space but after a while the hotkey is not
registered anymore. I am sure it is not another program that takes
over the registration for this hotkey. Because I can change the hotkey
to something else and it still doesn't work anymore.
Any clues on what to do to solve this?
