i appreciate the responses on getting netsync setup, but nothing on the web
is straight-up and clear.

- do i need a /usr/local/etc/coldsync/palms file setup? 'make install'
didn't make this directory!
- what is really needed in the .coldsyncrc for a 'coldsync -t net -md .'?
- is the above command and arguments the proper way to get coldsync to
listen and work?

i use the above line from shell and do a network hotsync and get this:

recvfrom() returned 19
Got datagram from host 0x0800a8c0 (192.168.0.8), port 9489, length 16
UDP fa de 01 02 c0 a8 00 01 ff ff ff 00 64 68 61 72 | úÞ..À¨..ÿÿÿ.dhar
UDP 6d 61 00 | ma.
Got wakeup packet:
magic == 0xfade
type == 0x01
unknown == 0x02
hostid == 0xc0a80001 (192.168.0.1)
netmask == 0xffffff00 (255.255.255.0)
Hostname: "dharma"
Closing UDP socket.
close() returned 0

nothing happens past this and the hotsync app timesout and asks if i want to
local sync.

dig.
