AOP logging in cfcatch?

Hello,
Currently have a component with several methods where I access a db. These db calls are wrapped in a cftry/cfcatch block. In the cfcatch I log the error (cfcatch.detail). Instead of logging each individual cfcatch, is it possible to use AOP so I can define all functions that need logging in a Coldspring.xml? Will this also work in case an error is thrown?

Looks like this is mentioned in the reference in section IV.III.IV (ThrowsAdvice)...
