That's easy enough to set up.

Select: People can request an invitation to join

and...

Message moderation

All messages are held for moderation  No moderation - messages are delivered directly  Messages from new members are moderated

That way, you don't have to moderate everyone, just new members.

I manage several Google Groups, and this has never been a problem on any of them.

That is the best way of handling this problem.

 

I co-moderate the Model-Glue list and it’s easy to quickly check the first post of a member and action it.

 

I’ll be happy to moderate this one along with anyone else who is up for it.

I would do it, as long as you make those settings changes I mentioned. Otherwise, it's too much of a PITA to moderate.

Yup, thanx.

As I just said to Clark off-list:

"my clyburn" has been banned and reported to Google for abuse. Their
five(!) spam messages have been removed from the archive.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
