I am trying to setup codex wiki, not sure if this is the right forum but I thought to post here.

Does it work with coldbox 3.1, or only 2.6.4?

well, I discovered this https://github.com/Ortus-Solutions/codexwiki/tree/development  and it looks like the newer version does not work on CF8.

Luis, any thoughts here?

thank you @Luis, I really appreciate it.

First I wanted to tell you that I Love Coldbox.  It's awesome.  I can shout it!!!

I was able to get the older version of the codex working by removing my cf mapping /coldbox to 3.1 which my other application was using, and setting it up with transfer 1.1, coldspring 1.2, and Coldbox 2.6.4 all contained in the site root.  I moved the coldbox 3.1 under the other application's site root too.  everything is working.  

since I do not know when my org will be moving to > cf8 I may be stuck on the older release.  either way, I wanted to use a cf based wiki instead of mediawiki and I loved coldbox, so this was a logical choice.

i may have other questions later, but so far I just got the landing page up and running.

Will https://github.com/Ortus-Solutions/codexwiki/tree/development  only work with CF9?   Any luck of porting it to CF8?

I am using the older original version on coldbox 2.6.4  instead of the latest release: https://github.com/Ortus-Solutions/codexwiki/tree/development 

I noticed the new release only works on 9.  I did give it a try and it never worked.  My other applications are under Coldbox 3.1 so I was hoping to be able to use that same version, or even 3.5.

Yea, not sure Chris, In reality we have been concentrating our efforts on ContentBox and now I am beginning to port Codex as a wiki modules for ContentBox. 

what errors are you getting, maybe I can walk you through it, as ColdBox 3.1 and 3.5 are all cf8 compatible

Yes Chris.  ContentBox will have a wiki Codex module that will allow you to write in mediawiki markup and all the wiki features.  ContentBox is basically the way I envisioned Codex to become.

Bummer... No worries.  

On a different topic: 

With the recent Adobe Nightmarish pricing, many customers may end up being left out by this.  

I know we are holding off for now, it's just way too much money for small businesses.  If you ask me, those costs are even too much for enterprises, especially compared to cloud based options in rails for example.

Yea, I know, those are strange pricing moves.  However, we do plan to make this 100% railo compatible.  We are just waiting on a few ORM fixes on the Railo side and ContentBox should be fully operational soon as a full Open Source Stack
