As the article title suggests, it is all about running Node on IIS.

It does seem like a strange thing to do, but whatever gets a variety of technologies inside MS shops.

For internal services I would say just run straight node.js. Even for external facing ones I would probably consider node.js by itself before using a web server in front of it.
