I have actually used Less since then (again not the Less language that compiles to CSS). It's nice because it's just so minimal. Only media queries to setup for the various screen sizes you'll run into.
It made it pretty easy to tweak a little web app I did at work to fit on the desktop and my phone.
I'll certainly try to check out those links.
I've played with less a little bit and it seems like it does a decent job of making fairly complex css a little easier to grok. I have not had a project complex enough to have to worry about it, but cool nonetheless.
