Drink Up?

Hey guys so the group has been dead for awhile but I want to get things going. Lets ease back into it with a drink up next month.

Lets plan tentatively for Thursday October 13th at British Bulldog in Harbinson. I figured we'll meet socialize, get some drinks, maybe talk about current projects, nothing formal and a great chance for anyone interested in becoming active to meet some people so invite whoever.

After that I'll try to get back into the groove and organize a couple of real meetings.

I'm down.

Any good group scheduling software out there?  Or could we use a shared calendar, google+, or *gasp* facebook for something like this?  Just wondering.

Yeah I'm not sure how best to manage this. There is a Google Calendar that is shared out to some of us and is public. I added the event to that.

I think this link will allow you to add the calendar to various apps. Also I believe you can copy it into Google Calendar's 'Add by URL' control to add it.

Cool.  I think the calendar works.  I know a lot of people like to use Facebook events, but I haven't seen where they're really all that beneficial.  Was just curious if anyone else thought something like that would be helpful.

I honestly don't check Facebook that much and the google calendar should be sync'ing with my phone.

Anyone has any input certainly toss it out there, but I think we all have Google accounts and could manage any the events anyway we want once you subscribe to the dojo's calendar.

Same here.  I respond to facebook stuff eventually, and post from twitter.  That's about it.

I'm back in town.  Maybe we can do some informal lunches before then as well?

Maybe, I'll be reporting to SC DEW again starting Monday actually. Would be cool to get lunch with you and Jed again. Or maybe we can organize an Indian food day. Brian and Egbert could probably meet for that.
