Gecko Cheat Codes

Thispage contains a list of cheats, codes, Easter eggs, tips, and other secrets for Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko for PlayStation. If you've discovered a cheat you'd like to add to the page, or have a correction, please click EDIT and add it.

To play as DracuGex in Mission Control, go to Clueless. Up the stairs, on the left-hand side, there is picture of DracuGex. Gaze upon it using the Triangle button. (If you are staring intently enough, Rez should laugh.)

[All GameCube titles work fine at max fps and speeds, even with HD textures. It appears to only effect Wii Games.Titles I've tested were Zelda SS, Mario Galaxy 1-2, and NSMB, Metroid other M, Twilight Princess.]

Reviewing is not to "just click on Review", it's to read through the whole code and understand the implications of the changes. It's unlikely that your review will be treated as a valid review, because you're not a known developer around here. Anyway, even though it might not have been the right way to go, I don't think it will cause any problems.

I tried the latest 664, and not using any cheats the problem is gone. So it is something wrong here with the cheat system once again. I hope someone can actually work on this issue its been long time need to fix!

No didn't matter which game/gecko code used. it seems to only effect when a Gecko code is used.

I sent a FIFO.dff if it helps. This was a GC title Mario Sun Shine Usa. If need a Wii one let me know.

I tested some button-activated Gecko Codes and they don't work. So issue #7743 still applies.

I don't know if the devs wanted to change this in the first place, but I saw that they spoke about making the Gecko Codes

behave like on a real Wii.

Part 2 is here, and man did it almost break me. I could go on about what went into this but who really cares, so I'll get on with it.

I have pre applied all widescreen cheat codes to per game .ini files for Dolphin. Ones that are available to my knowledge at least. There are a few sources for these codes and I made sure to check each one to ensure I was getting the best and most up to date codes. In a nut shell:

IMPORTANT: We are hacking widescreen here and where some of these games may look and feel like they were designed for 16:9, others do not. UI and Menus may be a bit misaligned and other relatively minor visual issues. Be a little forgiving. However, anything that was too crappy looking I have not included.

Also, as we are pushing the HW to draw in more geometry, assets etc performance with some games has been impacted. This is especially true for games that have had their draw distance/culling completely disabled, allowing everything, even beyond the FOV to be drawn and rendered. These are few and far between but some key titles do this e.g. Metroid Prime 1 & 2. Some performance scrimping may be needed depending on your PC.

In the table below is the list of supported games at the moment. This list will grow as more WS cheats are made. Please check the versions that are usable for each game. Some games have all versions covered and others only have one. Preferred versions are stated as such.

If a game has multiple (Europe) versions available I have configured for the main PAL version. These can be identified with the 'P' before the numbers in their game ID's for e.g. GPEP08.

is the a unique ID for the specific game.Virtual Console Channels only use four characters where as Gamecube and Wii games use six.This is provided in the Code Database as well as whenever you download a precompiled GCT File here from ZeldaCodes.org it will already be named correctly for you.

On the main menu of Gecko OS there should be a "Launch Channel" option.Not to be confused with the "Launch Game" option which will only load the disc in the Wii's Disc Drive.If there is not then you will need to patch IOS36 in order to get it.This can be done with the Simple IOS Patcher also linked in the downloads.Launch Channel allows to to specifically launch Virtual Console Channels.Without it you will not be able to play a channel with cheat codes through Gecko OS.

Pokemon Battle Revolution does not have many cheat codes for the USA release. Thanks to the wonderful work of pjsamm on Discord and the community over at the Gamecube/Wii Pokemon ROM Hacking Discord, we have some codes for obtaining some niche items!
