With apologies for not sending this sooner, the notice landed in my Junk folder.
There are two additional co-sponsors to H.R. 5977: Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).

I did speak with my representative's legislative aid--Chris Van Hollen (D-MD8). I hope I was able to convince him to have the congressman sign on as a co-sponsor.
