Yes, and No. I am still planning on returning but after things quite down at work and home. I have been revisiting some new ideas and some old ideas while I have been working on my family's business. I am sure once things calm down for me I will be returning.

Ben I am very eager to use coinbox for a project of my own but I think I have a bit of a direction which potentially differs from where you are wanting to take it. Do you have a chance to chat on google hangouts so I can present some ideas to you?

You can present them right here so if others would like to comment they can. Just because I am one of the ones heading up operations does not mean I am the only one with an opinion. :)

I am thinking of another rewrite. in a way. I am looking to make coinbox web based and that means working with javascript in the form of angular.js which is becoming rather main stream and powerful in addition to bootstrap and css to make it responsive to work on a mobile device as well.

On top of that I am looking to develop a rest api so that way I can host the infrastructure for clients that I set this up for on my servers and they woudl work through the rest api. What are your thoughts on these.

Hey Jonathan,

Sorry for the delay. I guess your idea can work, and it is good. However I think it's very different from what Coinbox is at the moment.

I think it can be modified to use flask for example and become a web app, or you could use a large part of the code to port it to some other web framework. While this can be done, I'd rather we focus more on developing what we have before we try to do that (since as you've noticed we've been a little slow in progress these days).

Feel free to use the code as you please, and if you manage to get it working the way it is now, let us know. We could work on improvements on that side of things.

Thanks for your interest and your support! Hopefully soon we'll be improving things again.

Hey Jad,

Great hearing from you. It doesnt necessarily have to be a web application. I guess is there the ability for coinbox to work in an online mode with a remote database as well as an offline mode on the local machine if there is no internet connection and then sync the db to the remote server when there is an internet connection.

Yes that could be done. In the meantime I guess you could set up your MySQL or postgres databases on the remote and local locations to use replication. That would be a solution outside of the scope of Coinbox (if it works). Integrating this kind of features into coinbox needs a lot of work, which we might do if such a feature is needed.
