It's a pity I will miss it. I am out of town. Hope you have a great time observing this landmark event.

Century's second Venus transit on June 6
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

In a rare celestial occurrence, Venus - the second planet from the Sun
and the Earth's neighbour - will transit across the solar disc early
    June 6.

Venus won't trek across the solar disk again for 105 years.

The celestial event, lasting for about five hours 40 minutes, will be
    visible from anywhere in India.

The greatest transit, when the black dot of venus can be observed at
the innermost point of the solar disc, will occur around 7:02 a.m. and
will end (called egress) around 10:20 a.m.

Venus transit observing session will be conducted at Perks School on
6th June from 7 am to 10 am with 3 telescopes fitted with solar
filters to observe the transit directly..

    All are welcome.

Please send them to as many as possible with the information about
observing session of Venus transit on 6th June at Perks from 7 am to
    10 pm

    Regards

    Anand

    Warning!!!!
** If you plan to watch the transit, be safe. WARNING: Never look at
the sun directly with your naked eye or through cameras, sunglasses,
binoculars or small telescopes without proper filters.

Doing so can result in serious and permanent eye damage, including
    blindness.**

Dear Subramanian Sir,

I recently attended sky gazing session in Sakthivel Sir House and it was the one to be remembered, as we saw the ISS fly through and some metroids fall (obviously with our naked eye) and some celestial bodies through the telescope... it is really gr8 more people are willing to upgrade ourselves for the sheer joy of watching the sky and more happy that 2 people(Anand Sir and Sakthivel Sir) are always there to help and guide us... Hope we do the same to our society....

All the best for your Sky Gaze and wish you a good time.

Thanks & Regards
Vinod.
