      the News says that on the 19th of this month we can witness supermoon.... what is this phenomenon.. is it merely the moon coming to its perigee position or is there more to it.. will there be a club meeting to watch this through a telescope..??

You are right . It is the nearest perigee position of the moon that
night, that makes it look slightly bigger.
