Hello all,

***Please forward this to ALL coaches that will be working with your team(s) this weekend!***

High School Spring Warm Up

Details
When - April 11-12

USAU Schedule - will be at this link once teams have all rostered.

Some notes on the Schedules
  • Slightly earlier start time for Open division (8:40), Girls division starts at 9:15. This was in an effort to match up a lunch break for everyone.
  • Lunch break - everyone will be on a lunch break from 12pm-1pm
  • Coaches Social - the lunch break is in part for a coaches social with lunch provided! More on this below.
  • Field map and assignments coming soon
Rostering
If you have not yet added your team to the event in USAU you must do so by tonight!
Finish adding players to those rosters by Wednesday night!

Coaches Social
During the lunch break from 12-1pm, Ben and Libby will be leading a Coaches Social at/near to tournament central. Pizza and some cold drinks will be provided! Some more details below.
  • Coaches social: time - 12:10-12:40
  • What - pizza, drinks, hang out, chat, topic discussion, some updates/plugs/asks
  • Who - led by Ben and Libby
  • If any coaches have dietary restrictions that would not allow them to eat pizza, let me (mike) know ASAP and we can play for something else. We must know by Thursday to ensure we can get something lined up for you.
Tournament Director(s)
East High School Volunteers!
I will be away at College Conferences in Fort Collins. If you have questions on the weekend, find one of the East High Volunteers (names to be updated) at tournament central. Or use the GroupMe and I or someone will respond.

Tournament GroupMe
Feel free to join the tournament GroupMe at this link. We'll use it to communicate any changes needed or other info during the tournament.

Captains Meeting
No captains meeting for this tournament. Please talk to your captains about having good spirited play going into the weekend.

Game Score Reporting
Please report your game scores via the USAU app! If the app gives you trouble, go to TC to report them.

Spirit Score Reporting
Report Spirit Scores via this Google Form Link. 0-4 with 2 being average. You should be talking with your players about the Spirit Score (or delegating to a Spirit Captain). Remember, 0s and 4s are extreme cases and should include an explanation in the comments section.

Trainers
We will have a trainer at Tournament Central to help deal with any injuries that come up. MOST injured players should report to tournament central. Minor injuries like rolled ankles etc. should come to TC. That way the trainer can be found more easily if there are other injuries. IF there is a serious injury on your field, you can come over to get the trainer and/or message the tournament GroupMe.

Food
There will not be tournament specific food. There will be some stuff (bars, other snacks) at TC in case anyone has players that need a quick something, but this should not be relied upon for a full meal by players.

Restrooms
Primary restrooms are located near the field parking entrance at the marked spot on the field map. These are "running water" permanent building restrooms. There may be some portas around as well.

Water
There will be water stations near each field or set of fields per usual.

Horn for caps
On Saturday there are two different time schedules. We will plan to blow horns for soft caps and hard caps for both divisions. The Girls division will be a single horn blast and the Open division will be 2 short blasts.

That is all for now, thanks!

Hello all,

Quick update for anyone that already memorized the original schedule I sent out...

We just made a couple small changes to the Open Division. We have teams traveling from Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo and as such we moved things around to give these teams with the longer drive the first round bye.

Changes:
1) We swapped New Vista and Air Academy in their pool to match up Air Academy with the other teams traveling far.
2) We switched what was the second round to be the first round so that all those teams above can have the first round bye for travel.

Reach out if you have any questions.

Regards,

Mike Richard

Hello all,

Rostering!
We are getting close. Only a few teams left that need to finish rostering players. Reminder that the deadline for adding players to your rosters is EOD tomorrow, Wednesday the 8th.

For those of you with a team attending the D2 Open Midseason tournament on the 19th, the event for that is up in the USAU system now too (called - HS D2 Spring Warmup) and you can add your team(s) and those rosters as well whenever. Deadline for those rosters is Wednesday the 15th.
