We have had several requests for strategies to keep track of how far and how long members drive, and how to calculate the cost. We will hear from an experienced carshare treasurer to show us how he designed one method to do this.
Carshare Gathering: Tracking Trips

Don Katz, CoCar treasurer, Arboretum Cohousing, Madison WI
Don has developed spreadsheets for CoCar that interact with each other and our trip logging system. He will also explain how drivers are reimbursed for expenses, how he bills everyone each month, and some metrics that are revealed by the spreadsheets.
FUN FACT: We now have 99 members in our cohousing carsharing community. Perhaps a neighbor of yours would like to be member 100! Have them send me their name, email, and cohousing community.
