Hello,

Ordering the last of the parts for the 8x 7971

I noticed the parts diagram shows:
2x WM8169-ND CONN HEADER 34POS .100″ R/A TIN

However,
The build pictures show only 1x Right angle, and 1x straight on the cable end.

Which is "more" recommended?

Michail

If you are trying to fit it in one of my cases, then the straight is better.

Good thing I ordered both.

I think MOST people will try to fit in your case since it is only $95 more to have it pretty.

Since the entire build is around your design, I would suggest you make the change to the parts list to show using a straight instead of a right angle for that spot.  It sucks when you are about done, but can't complete until another part is ordered.  Just a suggestion as I am about a week away of being done with my first cogg.  :)

Another suggestion is to change the case design to have a notch out for the power cord.  Mine not complete yet; but with the cord coming out the bottom, there is no notch out the backside for the cord.

PS.  Oppps, I should have changed the subject when I started this post.  :)
