We have just purchased a Zbook 15u G3 that has a Toshiba m.2 NVME drive in it. This is the first one we have gotten with this drive, as the others have the Samsung 951 drive. We use MDT 2013 to deploy Windows 7 to our PCs and laptops which I have the Samsung driver injected into the image as well as the Microsoft updates. The problem I am having is, when I deploy our image to the laptop with the Toshiba drive, I get the wonderful blue screen because I don't have the drivers for the Toshiba installing during the imaging process. I have the Samsung drivers loading and I can deploy with no issues at all, but cannot without the NVME drivers for the Toshiba drive. Is there anywhere I can get these drivers?

Already have those, that's for the OCZ drive that Toshiba makes. Those won't work. Just like the Samsung 950 drivers will not work for the Samsung 951 OEM drives. I'm needing the drivers for the thnsn5512gpu7

That's odd. I had the same problem with our second batch of Zbook 15u G3. First one had samsung ssd so that was pretty easy. The second batch used some kind of generic MS driver which I couldn't get even by using Drivergrabber and those were Toshiba 512 GB ssd. Ended up with a nice nice BSOD after first reboot when deploying from sccm 2012 until I added those toshiba drivers to the driver package.

Well, dummy me. The OCZ drivers worked. When I put them in MDT I had not imported them into the 15u, only the 17 G3. The laptop is up and running with no problems now. It made me think when you mentioned the drivers and I looked.

I have a 1 year old Toshiba Satellite P870 running windows 8.1 and have had no problems until connecting my new Galaxy Note 3 via usb which correctly installed its drivers etc and I was able to access the phone normally.

I have uninstalled the driver manually through device manager and downloaded both the Wireless_16.7.0_De164.exe driver only package and the Wireless_16.7.0_e164.exe full install package and also run the repair.

I am sorry for the issue. The correct driver version should be 15.10.5.1 when using software package 16.7 with this wireless adapter and operating system. I recommend uninstalling Intel Proset Software from Programs and Features as well as any trace of third party driver that are not intended for the devices installed in this computer. Then, install latest version again.

Failing the association test could mean a mismatch between the wireless settings in the AP and the profile saved in the computer. Try deleting the profile and connecting again. You may also delete the profile and connect with the AP as unsecured just for testing.

Tried going into safe mode and removing device and deleting drivers, but on restarting the device comes back in device manager. Downloaded the latest driver from Intel, and did a fresh install and a repair. No joy.

Some things I have read seem to indicate that after doing a Windows 8.1 update you must install all driver updates in a specific order.... Not sure if that occurred now.. May be a contributing factor.

Have noted a great many posts online indicating similar issues with this WiFi adapter across many platforms. Seams to be a very well known problem, but I can't believe there is still not a reliable solution.

1. Download the current version of your Wireless adapter drivers including Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software, (you should also download the Bluetooth drivers), and save the files to your computer. You should use the OEM drivers as first option; in your case, you should be able to get them from Toshiba Support. If not, you can try with the generic drivers available from =eng&ProdId=3507 Intel Download Center.

3. In Control Panel - Device Manager, go to Network Adapters, right-click on the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230, and select Uninstall, make sure to mark the option "Delete the driver software for this device".

* After you uninstall them, do a "Scan for Hardware changes" or reboot. Check if the system installs any older driver versions for the Wireless and/or Bluetooth adapters. If it does, repeat the uninstall/delete until the Microsoft driver is used, or until no drivers are detected for the devices.

Removing the drivers should be possible from a regular Windows* session, if you had to do it in safe mode, then it may indicate other type of issue in the system, further diagnostics would depend on the error shown when you tried to remove the components.

Hi, I just received and apple ipad 1. I have never been fortunate enough to have an apple computer. All of my computer time is on my Toshiba Satellite desktop running Windows 7. I know very little about the ipad. I was told by a friend that you need to hook it to your computer to set it up. He has alwasy had a mac however and is not familiar with windows. So, I was wondering if I can connect the ipad 1 to my laptop with Windows 7 to set the ipad up? Also, can I access the information I have saved on my laptop from the ipad. If so, do I need a particular program or app?

Thanks Onion99, I actually have a wireless network and was able to set it up wirelessly. As I said I was a new user. I have since gotten an iPad2 and did the same thing, worked perfectly. Now, I was given an Aiport Extreme 5.7 and have set it up and can even print wirelessly, but it doesn't seem to be getting the distance I was expecting. It is hooked to my wireless router with ethernet cable, but I am running two laptops. When I am working at the desk near the router and Airport, I am getting speeds of up to 18Mpbs, but when I go next door, about 50 feet I am only getting up to 4Mpbs wireless speed. I don't have a 2.4gz phone, so that isn't causing intereference. I am usually only running one laptop at a time, but I have a friend coming and she will be connecting the same network. Do you have any knowledge or this Airport and how I can get the speeds I want at a distance. I should add that without the airport, I get the same speeds at either laptop location. I have 20Mbps wireless service and don't have any interruptions as I did with lower speed.

If it's missing from the computer, either the drivers or missing or there is a loose/lack of connection between the device and the computer. You could try reinstalling drivers from the toshiba site for the dvd drive; however, if that doesn't work, verify that the drive has been properly inserted into the laptop and secured via it's screw.

As far as music or video not playing, you need to download the windows media player codec package or the VLC package. Do NOT install those fake malware drivers like the one mentioned above. Most of those are full of adware, trackers, and auto downloaders.

Agree with Eric maybe remove screw pull drive and put back in see if that works. If still doesn't work if you have a different laptop even one that doesn't power on try to remove the DVD drive from that laptop if the connector is the same on back of drive as your laptop you can Frankenstein to work with yours by swapping brackets on back of drive then you can usually swapp the front bezel of DVDs drive so it works with your laptop. There should be I tiny hole on front of drive put paper clip in there it will pop out drive then there are usually a couple clips that hold it on just be careful and pop off and swap them. If works your done if not then may have driver issue try deleting and reinstalling drivers may work if not check to see if random virus causing issue (malwarebytes and super antispyware) if not then lastly reinstall os if still bad then bad logic board connection.

I have this problem it started after i downloaded windows 10 home But my friend have windows 10 pro and it worked on him the cd is civilization 5 and the game worked on his laptop but on my lap didn't read the cd but if put another cd he will gonna be readen normally

I have a customers Toshiba laptop, it is working fine while on battery power but as soon as external power is plugged in it dies. If you try to power up after that with it plugged it it will light up and 3 seconds later shut off. It wouldn't hold CMOS configuration when it came in so i replaced a rechargeable Button battery. Now it still doesn't hold CMOS but I'm not sure if it was able to get charged up yet. The power cord is remote and goes directly to the MOBO. Any idea's on the charger issue?

I am having the exact same problem with my Toshiba Satellite A205-5000. It will shut down about 5 seconds after the power cord is plugged into it. If the power is not plugged into the wall, it is fine, but as soon as it is plugged in, BAM! the PC shuts off in 5 seconds. The battery will charge with no problems. There are times, with just the battery in use, that it will just shut down. But, 98% of the time, it shuts down when the AC power supply is turned on.

I am repairing a Toshiba Satellite A300 that immediately shuts down when the power adapter plug is inserted - even when the mains power is turned off! It has to be totally disconnected from the power supply before it will boot XP.

i am having a similar problem with a toshiba L355, it would take charge when off but if on and the charger is plugged in it would immediately shut off, it wont even power up while plugged in. only on battery power but the battery dies in 10mins :-(
