Description:
An ideal candidate has experience and passion for working with language data and the ability to help create, categorize, audit, and improve lexical data.
· Developing natural language processing code specific to your language.
· Leverage the power of large amount of data to solve complex NLP.
· Provide input and suggestions towards innovating new approaches and new product features tailored to your home market.
· Automating and integrating workflow from diverse systems.
· Recording audio and creating audio tests
· Reviewing tests and identifying fixes
Key Qualifications:
· Native language XX
· Excellent knowledge of structural aspects of the language (syntax, semantics, phonology, phonetics)
· Strong linguistic comprehension
· Up-to-date exposure to popular native culture and the ability to use that knowledge to inform data analysis
· Previous experience working with language data (e.g. research, analysis, translation, review)
· NLP experience
· Familiar with Java, python and shell scripting is a plus
· Experience using OS X or iOS software is a plus
· Good organizational and analytical skills
· Excellent English skills, other language skills are a plus
· Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage priorities
· Experience with one or more version control systems with a preference for Git

· B.S/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields or Degree in Computational linguistics

Join the team responsible for bringing new languages to Siri (Personal Assistant technology for iPhone).We are a passionate group dedicated to bringing Apple's products to the world. This position offers the opportunity to perform software engineering specific to translation and localization of Siri user interfaces into Indie languages.
What are we looking for?
- We are looking for highly motivated foreign language experts with software development skills to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be able to apply knowledge of relevant natural languages, natural language modeling, software development, and techniques of translation to help deliver leading edge features and functionality for our international customers. The ideal candidate has worked on shipping products.
- This is an opportunity to have a major impact on the design and implementation of the next generation of localization and translation technologies used in the production of Siri.
