Email attachment of Summary.html report

Requirement:Once the automation run is completed, we would like to send email attachment of Summary.html results to people. Can you guide us how to achieve this ?

Navigate to configuration>run settings in mail settings tab, provide the necessary details of your SMTP server (that you can gain access to). Check the setting "send mail post execution" under run settings and save the settings of the test set or case. This is the necessary settings to configure mail send settings.

Below message is printed in the CITS UI Console box. But I didn't receive email because, the Zipped folder has .JS file. .JS files are not allowed in email. what is the suggestion in resolving this Issue ?

Please share the settings saved for the below mail parameter in "mail settings" in CITS,

- attach.reports

If this is set to true, the latest.zip file contents are sent and if ".js" files are blocked in your network, please ensure that the this is set to false, instead you can use the mail body HTML or set this parameter "attach.standaloneHtml"  to true for the detailed HTML report.

.js is blocked in our network. Requirement is to get Summary.html in the email so that user will have the consolidated view instead of clicking 100s of individual tests htmls. On clicking Individual tests in Summary, we need test case level details as well. how to get both if .js is blocked in network ?

Summary.html requires the supporting media files (includes .js files as well) for viewing the same and since this is blocked in your network. Make use of the following configuration to get details at test case and test step level,

- attach.standaloneHtml - True (for the test case report html files)

- The mail body itself by default will have the test case level results in the mail

Is there any solution to open Summary.html in the attached zip file ?

No, out of the box only standalone test case reports can be sent, however the summary of test case execution in test set is already available as part of the mail body.
