This just in...

Today I've put out the first release Smart Bumping. Smart Bumping
comes to your aid in the rare case that you have a series of lessons
planned, but were unable to complete it according to plan.

Just click on the new cell menu and select bump schedule.

Cognitius will then bump incomplete lessons for that topic according
to their schedule, respecting holidays and vacations. It will
continue to bump future lessons until it finds (1) an empty cell or
(2) a cell which uses a different schedule.

Recall that schedules are established when you create repeating
lessons. Lessons created by clicking in a cell inherit the schedule
of their topic, which (some time in the near future) will be editable,
but is now Mon-Fri.

To see the schedule of a lesson, click on it and click the Repetition
tab.

Any questions, please post here...

Hope to see you on http://cogniti.us

I havent' tried this yet, but are you telling me that this only works if I
have used the repeating lesson in succession feature? So if I have to write
a custom lesson for each day, it will not yet bump the whole week.

Its not YET going to behave correctly IF you are planning less than a
M-F schedule.

The bumping is done according to the lesson schedules, which you can
only set for repeating lessons today.

Suppose you put in 3 weeks of lessons on Tuesday and Thursday by hand
(not repeating).

Then you went to the Tuesday lesson and bumped it.

Cognitius will check its schedule, which will say M-F, and bump it to
Wed and be done.

This will be fixed when you can

1) Edit an individual lesson's schedule OR
2) Edit the schedule of a student's course.

#2 will be a default setting, which you can override with #1 or by
setting in a repeating lesson.

#2 is now supported, you can set the default schedule for a course.

See the menu by the course name on the planning page. Select "set
schedule".

Happy Planning,
