Im trying to manage one calendar of events. The "Events" pages on SS can be a little intimidating for some people so I would like to have people update events in a platform that is more familiar to them. If I could find a way of embedding Facebook Events into a page, that will solve all the problems. Then the client will have to just update Facebook.
If you have Facebook Account Admin Access Facebook should allow you to generate the required Event Page code (see link below). Back In Squarespace, add an 'Embed' Block to a page. In the 'Embed' Editor hit the ''on the right-hand side. Copy and Paste the code from FB to the 'Embed' editor. Click set. You may get a message saying something like 'live stream not available in Edit mode', so hit save. And I'd expect the Facebook feed to be on your page. If I'm overlooking something let me know. It's a good idea.
there are two solutions for this that I can think of. One is easier.
1. use one of the components Facebook provides as a code block drop-in. but if you don't like the way it looks/works, there's not much you can do about it.
-plugin/
2. Get your Facebook events synced into a Squarespace Collection. This would allow you to use any of the components you're familiar with (calendar, summary) to render the events on different pages of your site. At the moment, this requires a developer website and someone who knows what they're doing. I'm hoping I can do this for a site I'm building, and if I'm successful I'll try and make it into a plugin.
but in my browser i was running :3000/ that was the actual problem so i ran server as localhost:3000 now its working fine. Because we mentioned site url as localhost fb will redirect to same, if we r running
0.0.0.0:3000 it will rise error that Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.
You do have to register/create the url with facebook, by creating a facebook app. You might have to give the mobile phone number to them. The Site url you put in there needs to passed as the redirect url.
As the title suggests the security check has been sending a 5 digit code to my phone instead of a 6 digit one, which is not accepted. This has rendered my account unable to log in so I can't contact Facebook. Its been like this for months, I was hoping they would fix it but if no-one can tell them about it then they probably don't even know.
Without logging in I can't post in the help section or even send a message about the fault. Creating a fake profile doesn't work either as they close it down the moment I speak of another account. There is no way to pass the security check as even if I prove my identity by changing the password the same screen comes up straight after, also it does this on my phone, tablet and laptop so its not a devise problem.
The problem may be in your phone smart SMS services. Many a time I need to look into the original text of SMS to get the code as my android SMS shows me a card type Message which looks fine but may show wrong code.
The only way I found to bypass the security check was to deliberately disable the account by answering the security check incorrectly (repeatedly). Once the account is disabled you can request it be reopened by sending a photo of your ID. The account has to be disabled before you can do this using the link in the help section
With a Lookup Table, you can relate each input you might receive to its corresponding country code. This way, when the Zap runs, it will search the left side for a match, then output the value on the right, which we'd then map into Ometria:
Importantly, the Lookup Table transform offers a "Fallback Value" so we can output a default in the event the lead doesn't offer a country or if their country doesn't match any in our table.
Hi @samliew, I was thinking, one possible workaround, until updates are released, may be to use some javascript placed in the footer, to write out the divs needed for FB pixel and use javascript to append that to the body.
From what I can understand from the official Facebook Pixel documentation, I do not see a need for that. Although they recommend to put the pixel code in the header, we can still use the Site Footer Custom Code block and it should work the same.
I also tried downloading the app on PC, with idea to connect. this forced me to merge my oculus account into my facebook account, then forced merging my facebook account into a meta account, so now I have no Idea what I should be using. This forum seems to require my original oculus account.
The crux is that when I try to login on the quest, it now asks for a 6 digit code. But it doesn't say how or where it was sent. It certainly has not been emailed to me, it's not appeared in facebook, nor messenger. I can't think of anywhere else it would have been sent.
The whole login and authentication system is so cumbersome, bug ridden and pointlessly over the top - I just want to play some games, but cant even do that since some weeks due to this broken code system.
Same here. I keep one number so this doesn't happen so whatever number they have was made by them & I wasn't informed. Also I downloaded the free Resident Evil 4 & linked my facebook account as well so sending me an email for a pass code shouldn't be a problem, you'd think

I tried the headset again today. This time it asked me to go through a new pairing routine which involved having to go to the meta website, and enter pairing codes, instead of asking for a 6 digit code. This seems to have worked. I haven't managed to actually play a game yet though.
Hey Nutmix, we're glad to hear your pairing code worked! Let us know if you're able to play games and use your device successfully. The option to send us a PM for additional support is always there, and we'd be more than glad to help you resolve any issues you may experience. Happy gaming!

I signed up to receive proceeds from the Facebook settlement and chose Paypal as the method of payment. As a part of this process, I am supposed to receive a six digit code to verify my Paypal account via email. That was 3 hours ago and I haven't received any code so I can't continue the process of receiving a payment from the Facebook settlement! Why am I not receiving the code?
Sorry to hear that you're not receiving the code to complete the verification process to receive payments. Have you confirmed your email address to receive the communication from PayPal? If not, please confirm your email address in your PayPal account by reviewing this link. It could be possible that the emails with verification code routed to spam/Junk folder. I suggest to review your spam/junk folders check for the email. You can also try to request an another code for the second time, or check with your email provider if they have blocked any emails at the server level.
While scanning an IP range that belongs to Facebook (
199.201.65.0/24), I found a Sentry service hosted on 199.201.65.36, with the hostname
sentryagreements.thefacebook.com. Sentry is a log collection web application, written in Python with the Django framework.

Past 24 hours, I've been unable to log-in to Facebook and Messenger on both the iPhone X and iPad Pro... continually get 'Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later. Error code: 2"... Tried everything to include deleting the apps and reloading them, deleting cookie history (safari), rebooting phone/ipad, resetting network settings, rebooting router... I've contacted both Apple and my WI-FI provider - they believe the Facebook app is at fault (which is great I guess that it's not my devices that are faulty, but it doesn't help me and I can't find any record of anyone else having a similar problem in the past few years).
