Hey tomorrow is a holiday (I came to know about it yesterday only), I was thinking of working on diaspora packaging. If anyone is up for it, let's meet at some place and work. Even irc would work. Shout here if you are in!

We don't have a holiday tom :(
Just let me know the time. I'm always in for this kinda work. :)

Cool! Let's do it over irc as it is such a short notice. But if more than one persons join from nearby place they can meet at a common place and login. Join any time tomorrow at #debian-in. I should be online around 10 or 11 am. If you are new to diaspora, get it running locally on your system. If you are new to packaging, one of us should be able to guide you. So see you all tomorrow.
Valu folks, share this event with people who were there on third day of mini debconf.

I am in too. I don't know much about packaging. I hope that's not a problem.

no need to mention this, but for newbies, irc server is oftc for all
debian channels. Go to mibbit.com and select oftc if you are new to
irc.
We will be using this scratchpad for coordination, required steps are
documented there. Diaspora has so many ruby gems dependencies, we will
package one by one.

You have to keep reminding your government that you don't get your
rights from them; you give them permission to rule, only so long as
they follow the rules: laws and constitution.
It was a long, but exciting day for me, my updates are here

We had some discussions about mini debconf mangalore too. Others who
joined please share what you have worked on today, what problems you
faced etc.
Bug:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=638910
Here is package:
http://mentors.debian.net/package/ruby-omniauth
There's one lintian warning which comes because of upstream's mistake
in writing
decription in 'metadata.yml' and in 'omniauth.gemspec'.
@Vasudev please check the package and tell me if i have to do any changes.
It was very nice experience in packaging gem and helping others in packaging :)
P.S. Either subscribe to list or don't forget to ask the people to CC
you while replying if you are not planning to subscribe to the list

from http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep5/
"There are many versions of the MIT license. Please use Expat instead,
when it matches."
I think the copyright file should mention it as Expat instead of MIT.
I'm not fully sure though.
:)

I read that but didn't understand what it is. The Expat thing? I saw
rake package
in debian and it also wrote MIT and gave the license text so i thought
that is the
right way.
Please elaborate on Expat thing, and also let me know if need it to change?
I have sent them a patch on github. I'll learn how to use quilt.
Do I have to patch this using quilt in debian/patches?
