I've always wanted to do a pure em/ex-sized layout, but have been too
chicken. Maybe now's the time. Unfortunately, most of the time the
design you're given is constrained by bitmap elements, and once one
pixel length is introduced to a design, it starts to spread like a
cancer.

Also been interested in the potential of using node.js for doing large
file upload/downloads without tying up Apache processes (or
bootstrapping Drupal). Looks like some people are already using it for
other purposes in Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/drupalchat), but
it's very bleeding edge.
