Greetings, all!

I'm not sure when the next CHC meeting will be (nothing seems to have been posted since May 2- are we due this week?). But if you're looking for some other way to spend your time meeting other developers, the Ann Arbor National Day (read: weekend) of civic hacking will be this weekend, and they're offering all sorts of incentives for people interested in using data and technology to improve their hometown. In their own words:

Anyone can participate in any National Day of Civic Hacking event, throughout the country. To have a successful event, we are going to need people from all backgrounds, with a broad range of skills. We'll need engineers, technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, students, entrepreneurs -- anyone who has a passion for changing their community and is willing to contribute.

(For more about Open Government, O'reilly press even released a free book: http://radar.oreilly.com/2013/01/open-government-files-released.html )

Also, I think there will be food if you register in advance. It will be held at The Forge in Ann Arbor (1327 Jones Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105) June 1-2.

Hey there Civic Hackers!

We're getting close to the day of the event now -- just a couple more days to go!  I promised that we would have some really great incentives for all registered participants of A2 Hack for Change, didn't I? Well, here's one for you!

Through Rally Software's "Rally For Impact" initiative, Rally is offering free 1-year subscriptions to AgileZen and Flowdock to all participants of the National Day of Civic Hacking!

Rally is offering AgileZen and Flowdock to continue your hackathon projects after the event, serving as a good communication hub for you to connect to remote team members, customers or people working asynchronously with the team or on a similar challenge.

1) SIGNUP | Access AgileZen: https://beta.agilezen.com/signup/civichackathon13 - Provides step-by-step instructions to setup both AgileZen and then Flowdock.
- Learn about the AgileZen & Flowdock integration blog post
- See other Flowdock integrations (including Github)

2) SUPPORT
AgileZen Support: betafeedback.agilezen.com
- Flowdock Support: https://www.flowdock.com/help/
- Email: sup...@agilezen.com
- Send Charles Ferentchak (cfere...@rallydev.com ) a request to join our community flow for additional questions and feedback!

Is that not enough for you? I hear ya... That's why anyone that registers by midnight tomorrow and shows up at the event this weekend gets a $100 Amazon AWS credit!

STILL not enough? Not to worry.  Socrata has a sweet deal just for NDoCH participants. Read more about what they've got to offer here.

So, tons of stuff for you guys. Because we love you, and you love open data.  Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend!
