Spain) is looking for a full-time post-doctoral researcher. The position
is offered in the frame of the Horizon 2020 project SOTERIA
(https://soteriaproject.eu/). The contract will have a duration of 3
years under a regular employment contract with full social security
coverage. A 2-3 year extension will be possible based on the

*JOB DESCRIPTION*
We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher with a solid knowledge
background in Artificial Intelligence and more specifically in the areas
of Deep Learning and Data Science. The researcher will perform the
following functions:
- Analysis and fusion of heterogeneous data sources to estimate traffic
accident risk at sections and interactions
- Modelling and design of Deep Learning techniques for the prediction
traffic accident risk at road network level combining heterogeneous data
sources (e.g. satellite images, connected vehicle data, traffic data, etc.)
- Application and/or design of Explainable AI techniques on the
developed Deep Learning models
- Drafting of reports and writing of scientific papers.
- Support in interaction and communication with the rest of the project
partners.
- Technical and scientific development of research projects and
subsequent transfer in your area.
- Support in the administrative management of the projects in which
he/she is involved.
*REQUIREMENTS*
*General requirements*
- University degree in computer engineering, telecommunications
engineering, computer science, applied mathematics or similar.
- A PhD in areas related to Data Science, Deep learning and/or
Explainable AI
- Solid technical and research background, proven through publications
in journals indexed in the Journal Citations Report and/or relevant
conferences in the area
- Solid programming experience in Python including Pandas, Scikit-learn,
Matplot lib, etc.
- Experience in deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras,
Pytorch, etc.
- Experience in research projects related to the application of
Artificial Intelligence techniques.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
It will be also considered as a plus:
- Experience in the developmen and application of Explainable AI techniques
- Previous participation in H2020 and/or Horizon Europe projects.
