The DeustoTech Institute (http://deustotech.deusto.es/) from the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain) is looking for young and senior group leaders in the areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Computation. The positions are directed to experienced researchers and they are intended to offer permanent research positions with competitive salary. The selected researchers will be offered a permanent employment contract (including full social security). A competitive salary will be offered based on the experience of the selected candidates. Researchers will also receive a start-up funding for their initial research costs. Furthermore, there is also a moving allowance of 5.000€ gross for researchers coming from research institutions outside of Spain.


*AREAS OF INTEREST*

We are looking for experienced researchers in at least one of the next areas (but not limit to):

- Artificial Intelligence: Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Predictive Analytics, Optimization, Natural Language Processing, etc.

- IoT: Seamless Positioning and Navigation Algorithms, Internet of Things, Cyberphysical Systems, etc.

- Computation: Human Computer Interaction, Computing Architectures (Cloud, Big Data, HPC, Edge), Cibersecurity, Blockchain, etc.


*REQUIREMENTS*

    - The applicants must have their PhD completed before January 1st 2011


*PROCEDURE AND DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS*

This call of the University of Deusto is framed in the context of the Ikerbasque Research Group Leaders Call 2019 (for more details: https://bit.ly/2KlUaIV). The selection of candidates will be done in two stages:

FIRST STAGE

The applicants should forward their CV and at least two references to Alfonso Bahillo (alfonso...@deusto.es).

THE DEADLINE FOR THE FIRST STAGE APPLICATIONS IS JULY 21ST, 2019.

SECOND STAGE

Applicants from the first stage will be evaluated as their submissions are received and they will be contacted individually as soon as possible and no later than July 26th, 2019. The selected candidates will be invited to submit their applications to the second stage, in which they should follow the guidelines given by the Ikerbasque Research Group Leaders Call 2019 (see next link: https://bit.ly/2KVJOit). These candidates will be provided with an acceptance letter signed by the Vice-rector of the University of Deusto as the host University and the Director of the DeustoTech as the host Institute, which is required by Ikerbasque. The DeustoTech Institute will support the candidate in the preparation of all the material required by the Ikerbasque Research Group Leaders 2019 Call.
