Is this fraudulent (most probably) or Atul's family really needs help Fwd: PLEASE PRAY FOR ATUL

Hi Everyone,

By all indications, this seems like a typical scam however I want to make sure there is no chance Atul's family needs help. Can someone who is in touch with Atul/his family please check and confirm just in case? I haven't been in touch with them since 1992 or so.

Recently a similar email was sent on behalf of Abhay Avachat with a link to buy his daughter’s newly published novel . The email came from an account with just one vowel change in his last name. But apparently the fishing attempts are getting clever with names of wife and children thrown in.

Good to know and thanks for updating us. Similar thing happened to me last year when somebody created fake account which appeared similar to my name and used photo from FB. Interestingly the email went to few people from the same group!!!

This week one of my friends Whatsapp was hacked & a message to transfer 13000 by gpay was sent to all her contacts on WhatsApp . 

Many guessed it was a scam but unfortunately 5 of her contacts got in the trap
