Dear All,
We are organizing an advanced level short-term course, focused on design of Multi-storey buildings. The course has been specifically designed for practicing structural designers and we plan to attract the structural engineers involved in design consultancy. We plan to run the course in an interactive manner, so that the real life problems can be discussed. The participants are encouraged to bring their own problems for discussion. Another important aspect of the course is ‘hands-on training’ on Linear and Nonlinear Modelling and Analysis of buildings subjected to Earthquake. Although, Performance Based Design is not included in the present course, it will provide adequate background for it and if we get enough response we may plan a future course specifically on PBD.
You are requested to publicize this course in your company/Institute and among other friends. The brochure is attached.
We will also admit a few postgraduate students at a very nominal fee.
