Invitation for COEP alumni at attends ICTIEE 2016 planning meeting June 29 from 10 am to 1 pm.
Dear COEP Alumni,
Greetings !
College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) and IUCEE (Indo-US Collaboration for Engineering Education: http://iucee.com/) and are co-organizing the Third International Conference on Transformations in Engineering Education (ICTIEE 2016). This follows a very successful ICTIEE 2014 at BVBCET in Hubli in January 2014 and an even more successful ICTIEE 2015 at BMSCE in Bangalore in January 2015. The vision of these annual conferences is to bring together, engineering educators from across the world to share best practices for preparing engineering graduates who will be leaders in addressing global challenges.
As an alumni of COEP, I am sure you are proud of the education you have received there. We hope to get your valuable advice and active participation in the planning of this important Conference. This is an invitation requesting you to join our ICTIEE 2016 Planning Meeting at COEP on June 29. Your expertise and experience in engineering will be invaluable to us.
The major theme for ICTIEE 2016 is the sharing of best practices that can be used by colleges that have received autonomy or plan to apply for autonomy. COEP has made full use of autonomy granted in 2004, to record enormous progress, transforming itself into one of the premier engineering colleges in the country today. The successful turnaround of COEP in the past decade, is testimony to the fact that excellence can indeed be achieved through autonomy. The enlightened leadership at COEP has succeeded in bringing all stakeholders together, inspiring and motivating them to help create a student-centric institution, committed to the all-round development of students into top-class engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs.
The conference program, from Jan 8 to 12, includes Paper Presentations, Keynote Addresses, Plenary Sessions and Panel Discussions, which will be planned to ensure that presenters and participants get maximum interaction time. The Pre-conference activities on Jan 8 to10, include Workshops by Sponsors and Global experts for faculty and students as well as a Student Forum.
The following themes are expected to be emphasized, based on the recommendations of “Engineering Education in India 2025”: https://iuceedotcom.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/eei2025edutech-article.pdf
· Governance and Leadership
· Teaching and Learning Innovations
