US folks may already know the story of Manoj Bhargava. I happen to attend Manoj Bhargava's  closing Key note speech at TIECON in Bay Area. His story is amazing.

He started producing  red bottle of 5-Hour Energy drink 8 years back after his retirement.  He is now 60. In eight years 5-Hour has gone from nowhere to $1 billion in retail sales. He gives 90% of his earnings to Charities in India. It seems he is the biggest donor in India.

He does not like MBAs and  their  jargons, etc. He just uses common sense.  He has only 65 staff. His meetings are not more than 5 minutes. He has all sales staff more than 50 year old.

He ran into some controversies when a few people died after they drank the energy bottle but he came out clean.

PS : The views on  MBA are his and there is no intention to let down MBA. I just passed on his views

Thanks

Great story.... Buy couple of 5 hours red bottles and carry them to India while coming back home if you can.

Very interesting to know more about this.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing, Hemant.

I generally stay away from these energy drinks. They generally have a heavy dose of caffeine.
