Dear students,
there are lots of queries regarding btp. Some guidelines are as follows. In addition you must apply yr own creativity / team ideas/ faculty guidance in making the ppt.

1. Make a 15 mins ppt.
-Title page incl names of team members and guide. Title should make clear the work undertaken. Pl dont rush thru while announcing the title.

- Problem statement: define yr problem

- Motivation (what is/are the problems / challenges that compelled you to take up the project. Restrict to 1 or 2 challenges only)

- Very brief Prior work with citations on slide itself and references at bottom of slide. Restrict to few prior (and most recent) works that are past contributions to solve yr problem.

- Technical Elaboration: This is specific to your project.  However, we recommend:
   (i) No slides on theory.

(ii) Dedicate slides to what YOU have actually done. Major marks can be gathered here - dont lose them by explaining theory.
Add block dia / schema / flowchart / UML diagrams. / tables etc as required for the specific work.

(iii) IMP. ADD CITATIONS FOR EACH IDEA ADAPTED FROM ANOTHER SOURCE. THE REFERENCES SHOLD BE AT BOTTOM OF PAGE. Failure to do this will be taken as plagiarism.

(iv) Demo . It is strongly recommended that you demo during the ppt

- Experiments and results. Some guidelines:
   (i) Specify experimental platform (processor, OS), the languages and tools used, special hw if any.
(ii) Specify aim of each experiment
   (iii) Demo
(iii) graphs should clearly show x and y axes labels, title, legend for data etc
    (iv) Discuss each result briefly

- Conclusion. Guidelines are:

(i) Conclude what you did
(ii) Summarize results
(iii) discuss the technical / team management problems you faced while executing the project, and how you tackled them

- Possible extensions
What is missing and can be added to the project.

- Additional references (which you cited in report, but they did not appear in earlier slides). Own publication will not fetch extra marks. It is highly unlikely that the BTP work is already published unless you are showing old work.

ALl students MUST upload abstract and BTP in shared folder.

Best wishes,
