A former student has just published a book that I would very much like you to read and then to give me your astute feed-back.  The book is: IN THE ARENA: A HISTORY OF AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS, by Peter Shea and Tom Maday.   One of the big reasons (well, the biggest) is that I wrote the introduction.  So, if you don't read past the Introduction, I understand.  But what I'd really appreciate if you'd review the book.. I think it's a damn good most amiable text that reminds us of our past and alerts us about our futures.  But, as I confess, Peter Shea is a former student and I did the Introduction. And as we all know, a teacher-former-student bias is one of the more forgivable of sins.  Pax, jim kelly

Jim:
Hope you caught the wonderful conversation involving the book’s authors on YouTube (“Trope Stories: Special Edition”).  Especially since you make an appearance.
