Minecraft Server V1.6.4 in McMyAdmin

My son and I got your book last night - Truly Awesome ... 

We ran into a glitch getting the Minecraft Server to work in Version 1.6.4 - here's how we solved it:

Situation - Installed McMyAdmin 2 as instructed from https://mcmyadmin.com. When we Launched minecraft with a version 1.6.4 profile, and attempted a multiplayer connect to the server. It produced the error messages "cannot connect" and marked the server name in red with" v1.9.2 X"

Solution - Go to https://mcversions.net/ and download the V1.6.4 server.jar file. Rename this new file to minecraft_server.jar. Stop your server. Go to your  McMyAdmin/minecraft/ folder and replace the existing minecraft_server.jar  with this new file. Restart Server. We can now launch with a V1.6.4 profile and connect to the server.

Hope this helps. Has anyone else seen this problem and do they have a neater solution?

Ok. Strange that. I'll try again, because I think I know how I can help John & William above.

I think they might have missed out the paragraph on page 16, with the heading 'Installing CraftBukkit'. If they get the version of that from http://codinginminecraft.com/download-craftbukkit-1-6-4/ , unzip it, and then move it into the Minecraft directory in the McMyAdmin directory and carry on following the 'Configuring your server' paragraph on the same page, they should have the right version which will work exercise 1, certainly - it worked for me.

According to the paragraph with the heading 'Mods and plugins' on page 15, the CraftBukkit server mod allows the use of plugins, and specifically the RaspberryJuice plugin, which is needed for the minecraft/python integration. I'm suspecting the version of the minecraft server they downloaded from mcversions.net doesn't have that ability?

After I installed McMyAdmin, downloaded the craftbukkit mod from resources, extracted it and put it in the Minecraft directory, the Minecraft directory looked like this:
