Subject: HarvardX Python programming course
Dear PyLadies and Boston PyLadies,
I am a Project Lead at HarvardX who works with faculty to develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) available on the edX platform. One of my projects is the course "
Using Python for Research," an intermediate-level Python course taught by JP Onnela, Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. We will be launching a second version of the course in January 2018 and we would love to see more women enrolled in the course and learning Python (enrollment in the current version of the course is ~80% male/20% female). I would love to work with the PyLadies network to help increase that number.
Would it be possible to set up some time in the next few weeks to discuss your thoughts on ways to reach more women with this course?
Best,
Zofia
