Hi,

Installed Galera Manager on CentOS 8.3 with self signed https, and on the login page, when i try to login with admin / password-set-at-install it tells me wrong password and I can't login.

gmd logs are showing nothing, nor nginx logs.

The http return code is 401.

Can you please advise?
Is there a way to enable debugging?

Cheers,
T

Same problem here! Cannot find a way to get a new password, nor restart the installer, nor completely remove the installation! And no real debug!! Sheesh!!!

I'll assume you haven't heard anything ... I think it has to do with accepting the default login id [admin].

hi!

did you both use the username and password that you provided during the install and not something from the gmd install process?

while there is no way to enable debugging, there are debug logs at: /var/log/gmd — might you attach them here for all to see?

thanks

The third thing the install process asks for is a login id with a prompt, [admin]. If I accept this id and then give a password (twice), when it comes time to login after the install completes, the response is that the login id and password do not march! Now, at the [admin] prompt, if I type in the word, admin, and the password (twice), I can login using admin and the password I entered. Now that I am in, I am fumbling around trying to create a cluster by setting up the nodes on the local machine. No matter what I try, the nodes come up as Unknown! Is there doco on using locallxd to setup the nodes. It appears the cluster is created, but I'm not really sure what is happening!

The /var/log/gmd/default.log is pretty much useless! Here are a few lines where all lines in the file are repeats of these lines. It is a parroting of the config file (no real doco on that, either). Perhaps I am just looking in the wrong places:

Tell me, is Galera Manager supposed to be a competitor of Cluster Control?

I'm a Mainframer from the early 1960's, and have been using Unix/Xenix boxes since the mid 70's. This is my first venture into using Linux machines. Also my first time using a forum like this. It's been almost exclusively FreeBSD O/S's, since they first introduced it in 1993. For me, it would be nicer to have a FreeBSD version.

Thank you for your help!
