Galera Replication seems working, but live monitoring and management

Hi to everyone.
I've 4 virtual machines, all configured with a fresh install of Debian 12: one is acting as manager, so it has Galera Manager installed. The other 3 machines are configured in a cluster, acting as nodes, configured with MariaDB 10.11.
I've installed Galera Manager successfully in the manager and I've deployed all the nodes without issues.

I'm encountering this issue: the replication actually works between nodes. I've tried to insert a db in one of the nodes, and then it has been replicated to the other nodes.
Live monitoring and management shows offline status: the manager doesn't show "synched" status for all the nodes and no data is displayed in manager.

I've tried to reinstall Debian and then redoing the manager installation and nodes deployment processes without success. Same result happened.
I've also tried Ubuntu 22.04 and MySQL 8 but I've had the same results.

All the machines has the required ports opened, so there shouldn't are issues with firewall.
The nodes communicates with themselves and with the manager by private IP because they're in a private network. No issues encountered in the node deployment process.

The manager also has a public IP to be able to connect to its Galera Manager web panel from outside the private network.

Am I missing something? How can I overcome the offline live monitoring and management issue?
Thank you in advance.

Hi, this is most likely an issue with galera manager or how it was installed - perhaps something was not properly configured. Did you use galera-manager installer to install? A new version a galera manager is expected to be released this week, please wipe the old installation and install the new one with galera-manager installer.

Kind regards,
Alex

Hi. Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, I've used the galera-manager installer, as described in the documentation. I'll wait for this new release to be published.

In the meantime, how can I wipe the old installation being 100% sure that no leftovers are still inside, without deleting and recreating the vm?
Thank you.

I am experiencing the same problem.  I believe the issue is how galera-manager is testing to see if galera is installed (rpm -q galera).   This is returning 'not installed'   When the actual query should be rpm -q galera-4

Hopefully the next release of galera manager will correct this.

Hi. I've tried to install the new Galera Manager in a fresh install of Debian 12, as before.
Now, the installer fails during influxdb2 configuration.
I've attached the log in this post
galera manager installer log.txt

Update: I've solved the issue by using Ubuntu 24.04 instead of Debian 12 and avoiding the update of all packages during the installation process of the os.
Apparently, this breaks the installation process of galera manager.
This current version of gm (1.9.1) seems working fine. I've created a cluster with 3 nodes, all of them with ubuntu 24.04 and mariadb 11.4. No monitoring and sync issues at all. I'll do further tests in the next few days.
Thank you all :)

Hi,
I'm new in this group. I'm having the same issue. I tryed some combinations Ubuntu 24 and Ubuntu 22 with Mariadb 11 and Mysql 8, and allways the same case: no errors during the installation, replications is working but Galera Manager not showing "syncing" nor monitoring. I've followed the installation manual.

Could you solve this issue? Anyone knows how to solve?

Thank's,
Xavier.
