ProxySQL + Galera Cluster (2 or 3?)

Hi everyone!

I need to create a Galera Cluster to replicate data between two or three MariaDB nodes.

Questions I'm having at this moment are:

1. How should I set the query rules to be correctly distributed between the read and write galera hostgroups?

2. Is it strictly necessary to have 3 MariaDB nodes minimum to be considered a good setup?

I apreciate any knowledge shared.
