Hi!

On our production cluster we faced a problem with the galera cluster recovery server.
mariadb service stopped suddenly after months of run without problems. In the attached extract of /var/log/messages there is a message which let suppose it is a bug:
Sep 28 15:07:23 winprd-vdb002 sh: WSREP: Failed to start mysqld for wsrep recovery: '2021-09-28 15:07:23 140705795385536 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld (mysqld 10.2.22-MariaDB-log) starting as process 21088 ...
We tried the recovery procedure (level 1 to 3 included without success.

Is there something to do before reinstalling the DB recovery server ?

Thanks for hints since it is a Production cluster and we need to fix this issue very quickly!

Configuration:
  • OS: CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009
  • Galera version: 25.3.25-1.rhel7.el7.centos
  • MariaDB version: 10.2.22-MariaDB

Regards,
Michel
