To deflate expectations there is no link to tickets here ( but read on ). I want to;
  • cover a couple of house keeping items
  • give a term of dates and how to book places and key dates.
  • Suggest a planning meeting for  Monday 18th Feb with a single item on agenda - What do we want to do after this term, fold or continue.
House Keeping
Covering
  • Toilets
  • Nuts !
  • Data collected on tickets.
  • Insurance.
Toilets

Please note Toilets at either end of hall are reserved for CoderDojo Castleknock children  use only.
Alternative toilets for CoderDojo Adults and  nightclass attendess will be sign-posted.

Nuts !

Please note Castleknock Community College is a Nut Free Zone. There is an important medical reason for this. so please do not take nuts or any nut derived  products,i.e. sweets/treats containing nuts at the school.

Insurance.

As the insurance situation changed, we took out our own public Liability insurance for  the year. We are on thr lookout for sponsorship of approx 380 euro to cover this annual cost. Any suggetions, please contact coderdojoc...@gmail.com

Data collected on tickets.

The name,age and gender on the ticket should be of the child. This information is used to;
- Create  sign-in/out sheets ( so we can account for everyone )
- Create stats to determine
    - average age ( so other parent can determine a suitable course )
    - gender breakdown as we try to appeal to everyone.
    - Achievement certificate at end of term

Planning meeting

We will have a planning meeting for  Monday 18th Feb at the school with a single item on agenda - What do we want to do after this term, fold or continue.
Why ?
I ( Bob Flynn ), have been leading CoderDojo Catleknock since 2014. I feel it is an opportunity to hand the reigns over. If nobody wish's to takeover, then I will wind things down.

Dates your diary

For mentors ( we are always on the lookout for mentor technical experience is not a deal breaker !  Contact coderdojoc...@gmail.com ), we will do a 'soft' release of link to tickets on Friday 18th Januay as a thank-you for their time, as  without mentors, we have no CoderDojo Castleknock.
We will then release a web link to everyone on Monday 21st January.
Bring yourself, a laptop, enthusiasm and if doing App Inventor a android ( apple will  not do ) phone on Monday 28th.
If we have not answered questions, please contact coderdojoc...@gmail.com

-Bob Flynn ( on behalf of the CoderDojo Castleknock team )
