DojoConf 2013 is go! Following the success of October’s meetup , the2nd meetup of Parents, Mentors, Educators, Technologists and pretty much anybody with an interest in Coder Dojo is happening in and around Drogheda on Friday April 12th (eve) and Saturday April 13th.
The focus this year is Growing and Sustaining the movement, especially getting people on the ground to learn and share what works and encourage new Dojos with their stories.
Evening of Friday April 12, and all day Saturday April 13th , in Drogheda and the surrounding area. Come for the entire event, or as much of the event as you can!
Anybody with an interest in helping kids learn more about IT. You could be a parent, you could be a mentor. You may want to be a mentor, or looking to start your own Dojo. You may be from Cork, Ireland and even one of the Dojos worldwide. All are welcome, and all will have much to take and give at the event.
We know the location. And it’s a biggie. But we can’t tell you as we want to make a splash when we announce it.
From the moment, plan to be ‘Somewhere near Drogheda’ on April 13th. The Friday evening meetup / informal talks will be in Drogheda, and most people that are staying over will do so at the D-Hotel. More info at Drogheda.ie
Drogheda is easy to get to via the M1 / M2(N2) , with very good Bus and Rail Links from both Dublin and Belfast. We’ll be arranging transport.
For those of you coming from outside of Ireland, Drogheda is 30 minutes north of Dublin airport, and only slightly further from Dublin port with direct links via Bus and Motorway (M1).
We’ve got speakers. Lots of them. We’ve James and Bill (of course). We’ve multi-millionaire entreprenuers with a passion for IT in education. We’ve got Education people, Tech people, people who run Dojos and people who just do really cool stuff.
Yes, we’re being a tease. We want to announce this people bit by by bit to keep the buzz going.
More importantly we’ve got you. This conference is all about giving Mentors, Parents and everbody else with an interest in Coder Dojo a chance to speak to each other.
