Our guest speaker on April 28 is Stephen Howell. Here's some info from

Stephen Howell is a computer science lecturer with the Institute of
Technology Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland. He lectures on 1st year Software
Development and 4th year Interactive Media Design & Development. A
native of Co. Louth, he attended Dublin City University and was
awarded first class honours in B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Applications in
1998. After graduating he worked as a software engineer for IBM. He is
conducting PhD research in University College Dublin on educational
computer games.
He presented research based on Scratch at the first Scratch
conference in MIT, and has written and presented several other papers
and workshops on Scratch, Kinect, games design & teaching software
development. When he is not lecturing, he consults with industry on
how to build the next generation of natural user interfaces for
marketing, content production and elearning systems. For fun, he likes
to hack together games, digital art and educational materials using C+
+, C#, Processing, Scratch, Lego & Kodu with his 4 kids.
