Hi all

In our dojo's sometimes we find it difficult to keep scratch interesting for some of the kids that attend the dojo's.  So i'm looking for tips and tricks what we can do/provide to keep scratch interesting and challeging for them.

Michael Lindemuth who's been mentoring in CoderDojo Tampa Bay Area since Day 1 comes up with very creative lessons in Scratch and outside  ...  Not sure if he is on this list but if we do not hear from him I will be happy to connect the two of you.

Check out http://makomatic.com/dojo/exercises.html

They're exercises by our Scratch Room leader, Michael Katz.

Hi all,

From experience at our Dojo we found that those who were advancing in scratch before our term break really enjoyed moving on to app inventor. It has a similar look to scratch, as youths use drag and drop controls in the same way to get their app to do what they want. it's good to have a few android phones for the youths to pass around so they can see their app working on a phone during the session. They really enjoy it.

Also Greg, Michaels exercises look great, thanks for sharing. Have you thought about putting them on Kata? (CoderDojo's resources depository for Dojos to use). There is a link for sharing work at the bottom.

I know there was a discussion about converting scratch to app inventor and other ways you can use scratch to move on to other languages on the forums.

Let us know how you get on :)

All the Best,

N
