Wanted: admin volunteers

Hi,

CoderDojo Bray is on a short break now, returning after Easter for our next block of sessions.

During this break the mentor team will be meeting to plan the topics we want to cover in the upcoming sessions.

We're very interested in your feedback on how we've been doing, improvements you would like to see, or new areas to explore.

At each session we issue over 100 tickets: as you'll appreciate this takes considerable organisation.

We've been very lucky so far: in addition to our technical volunteers we have had a team of admin volunteers who have been looking after the administration end of things:

In dojo time:

• Helping with checking in kids 
• Helping with organising our "tuck shop"
• Helping with the coffee station
• Helping with equipment packing and cleanup

Outside of dojo time:

• Answering email queries and managing our mailing list
• Managing the EventBrite ticketing system
• Fundraising committee
• Garda vetting and child protection issues
• General logistics

Some of our admin volunteers have had to step down now, due to other time commitments.

So we are asking for some help: to keep the dojo running smoothly, we would appreciate some new volunteers on the admin side to come forward, who could help with the smooth running of the dojo.

It is not necessary to be a "techie", there are plenty of jobs to do: but it would be greatly appreciated if some people could come forward who would be comfortable managing our gmail account.

With enough people on the team, the workload can be shared out so that no one person has to carry too much of the load.
