Hi all,

You are receiving this e-mail because you have previously expressed an interest in registering a child for Coder Dojo Bray.  The tickets for the next set of 6 sessions commencing November 9th in Presentation College Bray will be released Sunday November 2nd at 8pm using an on-line ticketing service called Event Brite which you can access using the following link http://coderdojobray.eventbrite.com/

Tickets will be on a first come first served basis.

Coder Dojo Bray is a coding club where the students (aged 7-17) work with each other and a group of technical mentors to learn more about building websites, developing computer games and writing program code. This block of 6 sessions will have 5 parallel but related strands*:

- writing websites using HTML/CSS/Javascript

- writing games and animations using Scratch (from MIT, http://scratch.mit.edu/)

- introduction to programming using Python and pygame

- robotics using Arduino-based robot kits

- python, Linux and networking using Raspberry Pi

Students are encouraged to build on their knowledge and experiment at home between sessions.

*The number of students that will be able to work on robotics and Raspberry Pi projects depends on our availability of mentors and the cost of supplying the hardware.  We therefore cannot guarantee that your child will get to work in their preferred strand, although we will make every effort to accommodate their first choice.

Best Regards,

Bray CoderDojo Team
