Hi there

we have made this offer to those who hold tickets for the current CoderDojo Bray session, but we are offering it to everyone on our waiting list as well.
(Apologies to those of you who will have got this email twice as a result)

In the dojo, on our "Projects" table, we have been busy working with Arduino boards, these are the small electronics boards which we have been using to experiment with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), sensors, and more.

We'll be using these Arduino boards to build small robots, when we have enough funds to buy some robot kits.

In the meantime, especially as we are coming into the summer and the dojo will not run as regularly during the summer, it would be great if Ninjas could work on your Arduino projects outside of Dojo-time.

To do this though, you need an Arduino board, and some of the LEDs and Sensors and Breadboards which we have been using in the Dojo. This would let you continue experimenting outside of Dojo-time, and also try out some of our challenges yourself at home.

The CoderDojo Bray team would like to offer interested parents/ninjas the following:

We can put together a small Arduino kit containing an Arduino, a breadboard, some wires, some sensors, LEDs and other interesting electronic components.

If we can get a few people interested in this kit, then we can bulk buy some of the small components and save money.

We can also make sure that the components we buy are compatible with the Arduino, and suitable for the challenges which we set in the dojo.

We cannot offer to give away the kits: but we will place the orders on your behalf and offer them to you at cost.

Until we know the order quantity, we can't know for sure what the final cost will be, but we are targeting less than €50 for a kit including the Arduino and everything necessary for the experiments.

We will also offer to make this kit available to other dojos to increase the order size and keep the costs down.

If you would be interested in buying such a kit, can you let us know at br...@coderdojo.com?

Once we have an idea of numbers we can start to get prices and components firmed up. Some of the components will have a lead time, so we would want to place orders soon so as to have them available before the last dojo of this session.

Kind Regards
CoderDojo Bray Team
