Hi all

Just to confirm we are all set for Friday night at the Quality Hotel for our first "pilot" Coderdojo starting at 6:30pm.

Rather than meeting up this week I suggest we try to be there at 5:30pm (or as soon as you can make it) to get organised and set up. We are using the room beside the outdoor playground and leisure centre.

Deirdre - you might just give David Henry a call to confirm everything is ok.
Joseph is getting the Coderdojo signs etc ready.

Ann is going to do some HTML and I will have some Scratch samples ready. We should have plenty of content to work with  for the first night.

I am assuming that with our own kids and a couple of friends each we should have plenty of kids to start with. Also I think it might be helpful to have scratch and/or notepad++ already installed on our own laptops.

If there is anything else we need just let me know.

We might have a quick discussion afterwards on Friday night to decide how to promote it for the following week and who we are targetting etc. etc. We will probably need to send fliers to the schools on Monday next.

Looking forward to seeing you Friday.

Best regards
Margaret

Hi Margaret and all,

Unfortunately, Friday night Dojo will coincide with my daughters' Ring Rowing Club training at 7 pm. I will bring them with me around 5.30 so that they can give it a go before 7 pm and hopefully be able to join for a short session as soon as the rowing is finished. I'd like them to get a taste for it and see how they like it. They already have had a lot of fun with Scratch at home.
Well done for the organisation.
Regards, Xavier

We are good to go in the Quality! David Henry will have the room setup as we discussed.

Regards
