Urgent Vote Needed for $ for Monday's Yoo Action

Pinks,
There is a major action Monday when John Yoo resumes teaching at UC
Law School, and as many of us as possible should show up at 1:30 for
the press conference because the media are going to cover this.
I am wanting to dress some of us as "Pink Police" like they do in DC
and at other CODEPINK actions whenever a war criminal is in the
vicinity. This will involve buying some white men's shirts at Goodwill
and dying them pink @ approx. $25, buying some fake police badges and
hats @ approx. $25, and getting people to put these outfits on for the
action along with black pants on all to look like a uniform. It would
also be cool to have a jail outfit @$15 for John Yoo to wear. He can
have a mask or a blockhead or a papier mache head. Asher, can you make
the paper mache head with me this week? We already own two pairs of
handcuffs. Flyers and posters will run approx. $25. So we're looking
at a budget of approx. $100.
Can we please do this vote by email?
Susan and I are willing to do the shopping, dying, and poster and
flyer-making.
Are you willing to vote "yes" to make this a great CODEPINK action?
If not, please share your concerns so we can discuss.
All of the stuff purchased can be used each Sunday at Yoo's house, or
at other actions involving Yoo, Bybee, Haynes or other criminal
sightings and opportunities.
We do have the money in our treasury. The button and bumper sticker
projects are doing well and we made about $300 from the Ray McGovern
event.
Please reply to the list or to Holly with your vote right away. We
need these next few days to prepare and have no time to wait.
