Hardware back button acts slightly weird

I am calling the same code when I tap hardware back on android and my own on screen back button. The on screen button works as expected but the hardware one sometimes blacks out the screen for a milli second, and I can almost see a very fast transition going on which looks a bit ugly. My own on screen back button doesnt do that, is there something I can tweak to make them behave identically?

Are you using setBackCommand or something else?
