Hi,

I just tried the build of an UWP app for the Windows Store, and we works great. I don't need to you Visual Studio 2013 and its complicated process. How can I build a UWP app to test on my Windows Phone 8.1? It is not mentioned in the tutorial (https://www.codenameone.com/manual/appendix-uwp.html)

Thanks!

Clement

I think UWP builds will only work on WP10.

Yes, the Universal Windows Platform is Windows 10+ only.
See this post: https://www.codenameone.com/blog/first-uwp-app-and-the-way-forward.html

Microsoft effectively decided to abandon Windows Phone 8.x. My old Lumia 5xx was upgradable to Windows 10 thru the insider program so you might be able to do the same.

Thanks!
So, just to be absolutely clear, Codename One does not provide a way to build apps for windows phone 8.x (through UWP or another means?)

The old Windows Phone target still works for some cases and we haven't physically removed it but it is deprecated so we might remove it.
