I have been making an app that allows the user to select an image from their gallery using:
Display.getInstance().openImageGallery()

With an action listener that assumes if the event is null the user has pressed cancel.

This seems to work fine on iOS and androids that haven't gotten the Lollipop update.

On Lollipop it shows the gallery but when you select a photo it always returns an ActionEvent of null.

This may have something to do with Google doing away with the gallery in Lollipop and replacing it with the 'Photos' app.

IDE: NetBeans
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop
Device: Nexus 4
